About Us

The New Zealand Railways Staff Welfare Trust is a Charitable Trust that was originally established in 1958 to provide assistance and benefits to people employed within the rail industry.

Membership to the Trust is restricted to those employed in the rail industry, former members who meet certain criteria, and members of the Rail and Maritime Transport Union. Membership entitles members to the use of shared holiday homes for a small cost to cover operating expenses.

Qualifying Membership

Membership of the Trust is available to permanent employees of the following companies.
